KRU BENSON VIRTUCIO
Kru Benson Virtucio is a 4-time North American Muay Thai Champion and has competed internationally all over North America, Europe, and Asia. He has been training Muay Thai for over 17 years and teaching for over 10 years.
Benson found Muay Thai when he was 15 years old and it couldn’t have come at a better time in his life. He needed an outlet and a sense of direction – and Muay Thai was exactly that for him. Under the tutelage of Ajahn Suchart, Benson instantly fell in love with the sport and began training. After rubbing shoulders with several seasoned fighters in the gym, he was inspired to fight himself. Fast forward several years later, Benson has racked in over 50 fights around the world, and has lived in Thailand at various times in his life, increasing his in-ring experience and skill.
Since then he has transitioned into teaching the art of Muay Thai, and teaches anyone from kids to beginners to intermediate students. As an experienced fight coach, he has built several novice students into championship fighters. Passionate about working with youth at risk, he has worked with several schools and community organizations to help advocate for mental health awareness. His contagious personality and friendly demeanor make him a great instructor. He is passionate about Muay Thai, and his passion shines through when working with his students.
Pre-Champ (Ages 4-6)
Respect. Teamwork. Fun.
Children learn the fundamentals of Muay Thai through a series of fun and interactive activities, games, and obstacle challenges. Children improve their motor skills, coordination, and listening skills in a friendly and encouraging environment.
Mandatory Uniform:Thai Shorts, t-shirt, kids gloves, bottle of water.
Champion Training (Ages 7-11)
Self-discipline. Confidence. Leadership.
As students progress through the 5 levels of curriculum, they improve their fitness abilities, refine their Muay Thai technique, and build on character development. Each level of curriculum introduces new technical combinations, a more rigorous training regime, and proof of character development traits. The lessons learned at each stage translate in their daily lives – among peers, at school, and at home. Regular testing allows students to track their progress.
