4Points BJJ Youth Instructor Ayisha Issa is a Brazilian Top Team Purple Belt and 2 time IBJJF World Champion. She found Brazilian Jiu Jitsu while looking to stay in shape and challenge herself. Soon after she started training in BJJ, she noticed a positive change in her self confidence and personal resilience, that was spilling over into other areas of her life. Ayisha combines her love of Jiu Jitsu with her affinity for youth development and that help foster confidence, perseverance and other valuable qualities in young people. With a successful career as a film and television actress, Ayisha takes an animated and high energy approach to coaching. She wants your kids to discover and value their individual strengths and to stay focused on their personal goals, all while having fun and embracing the learning process.
4Points instructor David Thompson is a Brazilian Top Team black belt under Fabio Holanda. Born and raised in Montreal, David started training Brazilian jiu jitsu in order to get in shape and blow off some steam. After falling in love with the intellectual aspect of the sport (and losing 30lbs in the first 3 months), he decided to make jiu jitsu a part of his daily life. He has taught in Montreal, Ottawa, Mexico and Dubai and opened the first jiu jitsu academy in eastern Africa, before settling here in Toronto. With a background in engineering, David has a detailed and conceptual approach to teaching that is rooted in logic and efficiency.
David loves working with kids and contributing to their sense of accomplishment and pride through hard work.
Last year David entered the Film and TV industry working with stunts as SSE and training with various coordinators to build a portfolio.
AMANDA LYNN PETRIN
Amanda's specialties are acting, building confidence and helping shy kids come out of their shells.
She has been acting since she was a toddler, starting with commercials and after school theater programs, working her way to short films, webseries, TV shows and Feature Films. After completing her Bachelor Degree in Psychology and History, she dedicated herself to acting full-time, training at the London Academy of Music and Dramatic Arts (LAMDA), as well as with various teachers in Los Angeles, New York and here in Canada. She recently moved from Montreal to Toronto, where she started her training journey with Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu, boxing, parkour and 'all the things' that used to intimidate her. She has firsthand experience in using jiu-jitsu to build confidence and broaden her horizons, and she can't wait to share her experience at this summer's camps!
Chie Modes is a boxing coach and a certified Personal Trainer. He started his boxing journey almost 20 years ago, as a personal workout while living in the Philippines. He quickly developed a passion for it, and soon moved on to teaching. Over the years Chie has worked with athletes and amateur fighters, as well as many beginners just getting started on their fitness journey.
Chie loves working with people and gets true satisfaction from helping them reach their fitness goals. He uses boxing workout routines and techniques to create a fun and challenging workout, and gets excited about working with each and every new client that comes to his classes. As a father of two with another on the way, Chie knows a thing or two about fostering self-discipline and loves helping children discover their inner strength.
