Audition Training

Without solid audition skills and experience, an actors career in non existent. Knowing how to book a room is a vital skill that all actors need to develop and perfect if you ever want to make it on set. While there is much outside of our control when it comes to the casting process, being well prepared and confident when called on, can only tip the scales in your favor. Our class is designed to provide an opportunity for working and aspiring actors, to practice, refine and get feedback on their audition skills, so you can leave a positive and lasting impression on on all the right people every chance you get.


HOW IT WORKS

  1. You reserve online in advance

  2. We send you a GENERAL breakdown and sides no more than 48h in advance.

  3. You prep and memorize your lines as well as you can on your own

  4. You get 15mins to perform your audition, get some direction and perform a second taking into account the new information.

  5. You get feeback along with your audition tape in a couple days

NOTE: As with real auditions, students will be “auditioning” for the same parts as the other people in the room. Materials are pre selected and breakdowns are kept general to allow you to work outside your type cast. SPACES ARE LIMITED


SCENE STUDY

Weather you read the breakdown for our audition program and and aren’t sure what we meant by “ prep on your own”, or you do, and want to keep refining your skills our scene study program is a useful resource. Scene study gives you the tools you need to break down your audition sides, analyze your character and create a compelling performance by identifying beats, cadence and opportunities to made unique choices.


HOW IT WORKS

  1. You reserve your spot online and we send you a scene

  2. Do your best to memorize the lines before coming to class

  3. Fill out the scene study sheet and bring it with you

  4. You will meet your scene partner on the day , have a chance to run lines before performing your scene for the group.

  5. During your performance the group will be asked to take note of specific elements of your performance

  6. Discussion to see if you reached your goals within the scene, solutions for obstacles you faced etc.
